2006 Australian Manly Junior Championship

Manly Junior National Titles January 2006 Belmont 16’s Lake Macquarie The Manly Junior Association are delighted to have Belmont 16’s host the 2006 National Titles Over 7 Days 70 boats are expected to compete. This will involve 140 kids between the ages of 8-15 and 300 parents The Manly Junior was first designed in 1959. A quick guess would have to be 30,000 children have enjoyed sailing an MJ since their inception! At the front end of the fleet it is very competitive and this class has produced many future champions in other classes as well as champions in life. Click on the MJ Hall of Fame The Manly Junior has 3 sails and is the most high performance entry level junior sailing class in Australia (If not the world). Beginners are catered for by the Novice Fleet. These skippers are in their first year sailing and complete a smaller course and will usually finish at the same time as the more experienced skippers.
